Grand Archive’s Abyssal Heaven: Assassin and Cleric Rise to Power
Grand Archive’s Abyssal Heaven: Assassin and Cleric Rise, But Who Rules? Abyssal Heaven drops today, March 7, 2025. This set brings fresh tools to Assassin and Cleric, enhancing their strategies, though Tamer and Warrior might steal the meta spotlight. Let’s dive into the key cards from HVN, their synergies, and how they stack up—complete with an honest look at their strengths and limits. 1. Assassin: Sharper Tools, Subtle Strength Assassin gains agility with cards like Innocuous Disposer (HVN-054) and Stifling Trap (HVN-174), but does it dominate? Here’s the breakdown. Key Card 1: Innocuous Disposer (HVN-054) Set: HVN No.: 054 Cost: 2 Reserve Element: Norm Type: Ally (Assassin, Human) Stats: 1 Life Abilities: Attacks can’t be retaliated by Human allies. [Class Bonus] On Ally Hit: If the hit ally is a Human, remove a preparation counter from your champion to destroy it. Link: https://tcg-corner.com/products/hvn-054?variant=50635715969299 Key Card 2: Stifling Trap (HVN-174) Set: HVN No.: 174 Cost: 2 Reserve Element: Wind Type: Action (Assassin, Skill, Reaction) Speed: True Effect: [Class Bonus] On an opponent’s turn, remove two preparation counters from your champion to activate this from memory without paying its cost. Deal 2 damage to target ally and negate its on-enter triggers. Link: https://tcg-corner.com/products/hvn-174?variant=50635733238035 Power Combo:Innocuous Disposer slips past Human blockers, destroying them with preparation counters, while Stifling Trap reacts fast—free with counters—to deal 2 damage and cancel summons’ on-enter effects. This duo sharpens Assassin’s control game, punishing fragile boards with precision. Strength:Excels against Ranger decks, dismantling low-HP units like Galewind Scout (HVN-156) with ease. Weakness:Struggles against Guardian’s high-life walls, like Jadelight Protector (HVN-159), which shrug off its modest damage. Analysis:Assassin’s Abyssal Heaven toolkit—including Whirlwind Reaper (HVN-178) for flexibility and Zhang He, Cloak of Night (HVN-147) for stealth—leans into preparation counters and reactive plays. Yet, with low damage output (2-3 points) and fragile allies (1-2 Life), it’s more about subtle disruption than meta domination. Compared to Warrior’s raw power (Sun Ce, Weaponsmaster (HVN-066)), Assassin feels like a scalpel, not a sledgehammer.   2. Cleric: Control Grows Stronger Cleric builds staying power with Diao Chan, Enchantress (HVN-004) and Shimmering Refraction (HVN-063), but is it enough to rule? Key Card 1: Diao Chan, Enchantress (HVN-004) Set: HVN No.: 004 Cost: 1 Memory Element: Norm Type: Champion (Cleric, Human) Level: 1 Life: 19 Abilities: On Enter: Put two glimmer counters on Diao Chan. Inherited Effect — REST: Activate a Reaction Spell from memory, paying its reserve cost with glimmer counters, only on an opponent’s turn. Link: https://tcg-corner.com/products/hvn-004?variant=50635707613459 Key Card 2: Shimmering Refraction (HVN-063) Set: HVN No.: 063 Cost: 2 Reserve Element: Norm Type: Action (Cleric, Spell, Reaction) Speed: True Effect: Deal X damage to target unit, where X is the number of phantasias you control.  [Diao Chan Bonus] If activated from memory, draw a card into your memory. Link: https://tcg-corner.com/products/hvn-063?variant=50635716821267 Power Combo:Diao Chan uses glimmer counters to cast Shimmering Refraction from memory on the opponent’s turn, dealing damage based on phantasias (e.g., Maiden of Shimmering Air (HVN-056)) and drawing a card. This boosts Cleric’s control and resource edge, grinding out value over time. Strength:Slows Warrior decks, countering aggression from Sun Ce (HVN-066) with reactive disruption. Weakness:Vulnerable to Assassin’s early strikes, like Innocuous Disposer, before it stabilizes. Analysis:Cleric’s Abyssal Heaven additions—like Diao Chan, Idyll Corsage (HVN-006) with wither counters and Zhang Jiao, Way of Peace (HVN-072) for versatile effects—focus on control and durability. The Diao Chan lineage shines with phantasia synergy and resource management, but it’s a slow burn. Against Tamer’s explosive Guo Jia, Heaven’s Favored (HVN-009) or Mage’s Kongming (HVN-010), Cleric’s steady grind may not seize the crown. The Real Contenders? Assassin and Cleric rise with new tricks, but Tamer and Warrior might dominate. Guo Jia, Heaven’s Favored (HVN-009) turbocharges Fatestone strategies with quest counters, while Lu Bu, Indomitable Titan (HVN 1st-208) brings raw power with Taunt and Vigor. Unveiling Grand Archive: Abyssal Heaven 1st Edition – A Divine Clash Awaits
Unveiling Grand Archive: Abyssal Heaven 1st Edition – A Divine Clash Awaits The Grand Archive trading card game (TCG), an anime-inspired TCG with a Western design sensibility, continues to captivate players worldwide with its rich storytelling, strategic depth, and stunning artwork. On March 7, 2025, developer Weebs of the Shore will release Abyssal Heaven 1st Edition, the latest expansion set that promises to elevate the game to new heights. Set in the shadowed realm of Sanguo, this expansion introduces a gripping narrative, innovative mechanics, and highly sought-after cards that are already generating buzz in the community. In this blog, we’ll explore the content and features of Abyssal Heaven, highlight the must-have cards everyone is chasing, and provide a step-by-step guide to building a competitive deck with this new set. The World of Abyssal Heaven: A Dark Fantasy Epic Abyssal Heaven plunges players into the heart of Sanguo, a land teetering on the edge of chaos. The set’s narrative centers on the corrupting influence of a demonic grimoire, a malevolent artifact that threatens to unravel the fabric of this storied realm. As the throne becomes an afterthought, a new kind of demi-god emerges, igniting the greatest clash Sanguo has ever witnessed. Gods, heroes, and mortals must unite to confront this unprecedented threat, rewriting history in the process. This expansion builds on the game’s tradition of weaving compelling lore into its cards, giving players the chance to shape the outcome of this monumental struggle through their deck-building and gameplay choices. The set comprises 213 unique cards, with 225 foil variations, offering a mix of gothic-inspired artwork and powerful new abilities. Each booster pack contains 8 randomly inserted cards, and a booster box includes 20 packs, retailing at an MSRP of $89.99. The rarity distribution is as follows: 61 Commons (C), 54 Uncommons (U), 47 Rares (R), 39 Super Rares (SR), 11 Ultra Rares (UR), 17 Collector’s Secret Rares (CSR), and 1 Collector’s Ultra Rare (CUR). As a 1st Edition set, Abyssal Heaven is a limited print run, meaning these cards won’t be reprinted in this form, making them highly collectible and valuable for both players and enthusiasts. Standout Features of Abyssal Heaven Abyssal Heaven isn’t just another expansion—it’s a game-changer for Grand Archive. Here are the key features that set it apart: Focus on Cleric and Tamer ClassesWhile the set supports all seven classes in Grand Archive (Warrior, Mage, Ranger, Guardian, Assassin, Cleric, and Tamer), it places special emphasis on the Cleric and Tamer classes. Clerics, known for their healing and support abilities, gain new tools to bolster allies and thwart enemies, while Tamers, who excel at summoning and controlling allies, receive cards that amplify their synergy with summoned creatures. These class-specific enhancements deepen the strategic options available to players. New Mechanics: "Siegable" and "Wither"Abyssal Heaven introduces two exciting keywords that add layers of complexity to the game: Siegable: This mechanic allows certain cards to be “sieged” or contested by opponents, creating dynamic interactions where control of key assets can shift during a match. It’s a high-risk, high-reward feature that rewards clever positioning and timing. Wither: A debuff effect that gradually weakens opposing units over time, Wither gives players a new way to erode enemy defenses and turn the tide of battle. It pairs especially well with control-oriented strategies. Re:Collection DecksAlongside the booster packs, Abyssal Heaven offers two preconstructed Re:Collection decks: Guo Jia, Heaven’s Favored and Diao Chan, Idyll Corsage. Priced at $49.99 each, these decks come in magnetic storage boxes and include a 60-card main deck, a 12-card material deck, 100 Dragon Shield art sleeves, additional cards to complete playsets, a damage counter, art dividers, and three Abyssal Heaven booster packs. Guo Jia, a prodigy burdened by expectation, and Diao Chan, a beauty whose allure brings both fortune and misfortune, offer accessible entry points for new players and valuable cards for veterans. Collector AppealWith 17 Collector’s Secret Rares and 1 Collector’s Ultra Rare, Abyssal Heaven caters to collectors seeking exclusive, high-value cards. The gothic aesthetic and hauntingly beautiful artwork make these cards stand out, while their limited availability drives demand. Cards Everyone Wants: The Chase is On Every Grand Archive expansion brings a handful of cards that dominate wishlists, and Abyssal Heaven is no exception. Based on early previews and community buzz, here are some of the most coveted cards players are scrambling to pull: Guo Jia, Heaven’s Favored (Ultra Rare)   As the centerpiece of the Re:Collection deck bearing her name, Guo Jia is a Cleric-class champion with unparalleled versatility. Her ability to manipulate resources and buff allies makes her a linchpin for control decks. Her Ultra Rare foil version is expected to fetch a premium due to her strategic value and stunning artwork. Buy it now: https://tcg-corner.com/products/hvn-009?variant=50635709350163 Diao Chan, Idyll Corsage (Ultra Rare) The Tamer-class star of the second Re:Collection deck, Diao Chan combines beauty with battlefield dominance. Her ability to summon powerful allies and disrupt opponents’ plans has made her a fan favorite. The foil version, with its intricate floral design, is already a collector’s dream. Demonic Grimoire (Collector’s Secret Rare)This artifact card embodies the set’s central narrative, offering a game-changing effect that corrupts the battlefield in your favor. Its rarity and power make it a top target for competitive players and collectors alike. Chibi’s Last Stand (Super Rare)A nod to the climactic battle in Sanguo’s lore, this event card provides a devastating finisher for decks built around sacrifice or swarm tactics. Its synergy with Cleric and Tamer strategies has players eager to experiment with it. Unnamed Collector’s Ultra RareWhile details remain under wraps, the single CUR in Abyssal Heaven is rumored to be a game-defining champion or spell tied to the demi-god antagonist. Its scarcity ensures it will be the ultimate prize of the set. Buy it now: https://tcg-corner.com/products/hvn-009?variant=50635709350163

[RespectYGO] “Argostars”: A New Era of Control Strategy! | Archetype Starter Guide
“Argostars”: A New Era of Control Strategy! | Archetype Starter Guide Ever since I first delved into the world of control strategy, I've been hooked. So, when I heard about a brand-new archetype making its debut in SUPREME DARKNESS, my excitement went through the roof! Today, we're diving into the fascinating world of Argostars, one of the freshest and most intriguing themes from SUPREME DARKNESS Asian English. And the best part? This is just the beginning, as Argostars will be getting even more powerful with upcoming support in ALLIANCE INSIGHT. Buckle up, because this is going to be an epic journey! Let's go!    Here’s a quick guide to get you started with building your Argostars deck: 1.      Meet the Argostars! 2.      Sample Decklist 3.      Sample Combo 4.      Summary    5.      Meet the Argostars! Argostars - Glorious Adra Card Number: Suda-AE010 Card Type: Effect Level: 4 Rarity: UR Attribute: Earth Types: Warrior ATK: 1800 DEF: 1800 During your opponent's turn, if you control a Continuous Trap (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your hand; change the ATK of 1 monster on the field to 0 until the end of this turn. If this card is Normal Summoned: Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of your Continuous Trap Cards and effects for the rest of this turn. You can banish this card you control; place up to 2 "Argostars" Continuous Traps with different names from your hand and/or Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. You can only use this effect of "Argostars – Glorious Adra" once per turn. Review: The deck's main starter fetches your continuous trap cards and makes them immune to interruptions. Plus, when banished from your hand, it modifies ATK to shield you from potential OTKs. Ratio: Run 3 copies, no questions asked.   Argostars - Fierce Parthe Card Number: ALIN-JP020 Card Type: Effect Monster Level: 4 Rarity: R Attribute: EARTH Types: Warrior / Effect ATK: 1400 DEF: 1400 Gains 700 ATK/DEF for every other "Argostars" monster you control with different names. You can only use each of the following effects of "Argostars - Fierce Parthe" once per turn. (Quick Effect): You can reveal this card in your hand; return 1 face-up "Argostars" Continuous Trap you control to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon this card. You can banish this card; Set 1 Continuous Trap from your hand. It can be activated this turn. Review: The newest monster in ALLIANCE INSIGHT is a powerhouse! It can be the main beat stick of the theme, help your continuous trap monsters dodge targeting effects, and speed up the activation of a Continuous Trap card from your hand. Ratio: Run 0-3 copies.   Argostars - Home Stadium Card Number: Suda-AE058 Card Type: Spell Rarity: N Types: Field Spell Once per turn: You can pay 1000 LP; add 1 "Argostars" card from your GY or banishment to your hand. Each time a Continuous Trap in the Spell & Trap Zone is Special Summoned to your field, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Once per Chain, if a Continuous Trap activates its effect in your Monster Zone, while you have a banished "Argostars" monster: You can target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; negate its effects until the end of this turn. Review: This field spell lets you recycle Argostars cards from your GY or banishment and offers an alternate win condition by inflicting 500 damage for each special summon of continuous trap monsters. Plus, it can negate any face-up card your opponent controls, though it's reactive and less effective against trigger effects. Ratio: Run 1-2 copies.   Argostars - Giant Hunting Card Number: ALIN-JP062 Card Type: Quick-Play Spell Card Rarity: N Description: Add 1 "Argostars" monster from your Deck to your hand, then, if you control a Continuous Trap in the Monster Zone and/or a Continuous Trap with an effect that Special Summons itself as a monster in the Spell & Trap Zone, immediately after this effect resolves, you can Normal Summon 1 Warrior monster. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 2 cards on the field, including an "Argostars" Continuous Trap you control; return them to the hand. You can only use 1 "Argostars - Gian Hunting" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Review: This quick-play search is packed with utility! It can instantly summon Adra to make your continuous trap cards unresponsive, serve as potential removal, and recycle them. Ratio: Run 3 copies, no questions asked.   Argostars - Lightning Tydeu Card Number: Suda-AE071 Card Type: Trap Rarity: SR Type: Continuous Trap While this card is face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone, Warrior monsters you control gain 500 ATK/DEF. Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Warrior/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 2000/DEF 2000) with the following effect (this card is also still a Trap), then you can add 1 "Argostars" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Argostars - Lightning Tydeu".- Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can place this card face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. Review: The main semi-starter continuous trap card for the theme that can help search any Argostars card from your Deck when it is special summoned. Ratio: Run 2-3 copies.   Argostars - Swift Capane Card Number: Suda-AE072 Card Type: Trap Rarity: N Types: Continous Trap While this card is face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone, Warrior monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, if a Continuous Trap is in a Monster Zone: You can Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Warrior/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1800) with the following effect (this card is also still a Trap), then if you have a banished "Argostars" monster, you gain 500 LP.- Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can place this card face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. Review: This Argostars trap card protects your Warrior monsters from battle destruction while face-up in the Spell & Trap zone. Plus, like other Argostars continuous trap cards, you can place it back in your S/T Zone from the monster zone or special summon it from the Spell & Trap zone. Ratio: Run 2-3 copies.   Argostars - Slayer Eteo Card Number: Suda-AE073 Card Type: Trap Rarity: N Types: Continuous Trap While this card is face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone, Warrior monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect: You can Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Warrior/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK 800/DEF 800) with the following effect (this card is also still a Trap), then if you have a banished "Argostars" monster, you can return 1 card on the field to the hand.- Once per turn (Quick Effect): You can place this card face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. Review: This is your main removal tool in the archetype! To use it, your opponent must activate a card or effect, allowing you to special summon it from the Spell & Trap zone. Then, with a banished Argostars monster, you can return a card on the field to the hand. It's not ideal for preemptive removal, but it's powerful when conditions are met. Ratio: Run 1-3 copies.   Honorary Argostars Let's dive into the cards you can maximize with this theme!   Silhouhatte Rabbit Card Number: INFO-AE052 Card Type: Link Link: 2 Rarity: R Attribute: Light Types: Illusion ATK: 1500 2 Effect MonstersIf this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle. You can only use each of the following effects of "Silhouhatte Rabbit" once per turn. If this card is Link Summoned: You can Set 1 Continuous Trap from your Deck with an effect that Special Summons itself as a monster, also this card cannot be used as Link Material this turn. If a card in the Spell & Trap Zone is Special Summoned to the Monster Zone (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it. Review: This is your go-to link monster for Argostars! It fetches any Continuous Trap card from your Deck to your field that can be special summoned and, as a bonus, clears one of your opponent's Spell/Trap cards when a trap monster is summoned from your Spell/Trap zone. Ratio: Run 3 copies if you’re running Pot of Extravagance. Status of the Anguish Pattern Continuous Trap Card Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Rock-Type/EARTH/Level 7/ATK 0/DEF 2500). (This card is also still a Trap Card.) If Summoned this way, this card cannot be targeted by an opponent's card effects while you control another Trap Card that is a monster. If a card is Special Summoned from your Spell & Trap Zone to the Monster Zone while this card is a monster: You can target 1 card on the field; destroy it. Review: This monster trap card offers extra removal! With Argostars trap cards cycling between the Spell/Trap zone and monster zone each turn, you're guaranteed consistent removal. Ratio: Run 1-3 copies. Reinforcement of the Army Card Number: RC04-AE052 Card Type: Spell Rarity: SR Type: Normal spell Add 1 Level 4 or lower Warrior monster from your Deck to your hand. Review: Surprise! Argostar Adra and Parthe are Warrior-Type so you need more ways to consistently search them, especially Adra.   Sample Decklist: Here is a sample Argostars decklist from OCG. Feel free to modify this depending on the format that you’re playing. Sample Combo: 1.5 Card Combo via Argostars Glorious Adra Step 1: Nomal Summon Argostars Glorious Adra, use its effect to protect your continuous trap cards from your opponent’s effects. Use its other effect to place Argostars – Lightning Tydeu and Argostars – Swift Capane face up in your Spell/Trap zone. Step 3: Activate Argostars – Home Stadium in your field zone. Step 4: Use Argostars Swift Capane from your Spell/Trap zone to special summon itself and gain 500 LP. Step 5: Use Argostars - Swift Capane and Argostars – Lightning Tydeu to link summon Silhouhatte Rabbit> Set Argostars – Slayer Eteo from your Deck to your field. Step 6: Use Argostars – Home Stadium in your field zone (Pay 1000) to add Argostars – Lightning Tydeu Or Argostars – Swift Capane from your GY to your hand. Set it back on your field.   End board:   Argostars – Home Stadium (Potential trigger negate for opponent’s face-up card and burn damage.) Silhouhatte Rabbit – (Spell/Trap destruction) Argostars – Lightning Tydeu/Swift Capane (Additional Search or Gain LP/Battle Survival.) Argostars – Slayer Eteo (Trigger card bounce)   Summary:   I hope you all had a blast reading this article! Argostars is such a cool theme, and while it could use a bit more love in future sets, it definitely has some serious potential. What are your thoughts on the new Argostars theme? Let's hear it in the comments below! This has been ArcKnight of RespectYGO. Thanks for reading until the end. Happy Shuffling!

How good are these new generic cards in ALLIANCE INSIGHT? | Discussion Hey Duelists! ArcKnight here. Over the weekend, the OCG world was electrified by the release of the new booster pack, ALLIANCE INSIGHT! This pack is packed with incredible support for various themes, giving them powerful new tools for the current format. But that's not all—ALLIANCE INSIGHT also introduced several versatile cards and engines that are already making waves. I'm here to break down all these exciting new additions. Let's dive into the details in this article!     Here are some of the cards that caught my attention:   Gordian Schneider  Gordian Schneider Card Type: Normal Spell CardDescription: This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. At the start of your Main Phase: Target any number of face-up cards on the field; banish 1 card from your hand, or 6 from your Extra Deck, for every targeted card, face-down, then return the targeted cards to the hand. Introducing the ultimate board breaker: Gordian Schneider! This new spell card can send your opponent's face-up cards back to their hand for every card you banish face-down from your hand or Extra Deck. The best part? Its activation and effect cannot be negated! So, whether your opponent has a set Solemn Judgment or a Baronne de Fleur, they won't stand a chance against the unstoppable Gordian Schneider! The Psalms of the Kings  The Psalms of Kings Card Type: Normal Trap CardDescription: If you have no monsters in your GY, you can activate this card from your hand. When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field: You cannot activate monster effects in the hand, GY, and banishment until the end of the next turn after this card activated from the hand resolves, also negate that effect, then, if you have a Trap in your GY, you can add 1 "Dominus" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "The Psalms of Kings" per turn. Remember Dominus Purge and Dominus Impulse? Get ready to meet their searcher: The Psalms of Kings! Just like its predecessors, you can activate it from your hand like a hand trap, if you don't have any monsters in your GY. This means you can't use it right after Maxx "C" or similar hand traps. The Psalms of Kings negates the effect of an opponent's monster when it activates on the field, and if you have a trap card in your Graveyard, you can also add 1 Dominus card from your deck to your hand. This trap is a perfect addition to Labrynth's arsenal as a new normal trap!   Dragon’s Mind Dragon’s Mind Counter Trap CardYou can only use the (1)st and (2)nd effect of this card’s name each once per turn.(1) When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated and you control a monster with 2500 original ATK or DEF: Negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.(2) If this card is in your GY: You can pay 2500 LP; Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. Get ready for a game-changer! This new countertrap is a perfect fit for themes that summon powerful monsters with 2500 ATK or DEF, like Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes, Regenesis, Diabell, Invoked, and more. The best part? It can return itself to your field by paying 2500 life points, making it a recurring interruption during grind games. Plus, it can act as a free cost for decks that discard resources from your hand. This card is set to revolutionize your strategy!   Abduction AbductionNormal Trap CardYou can only activate 1 card with this card’s name per turn.(1) Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish 1 monster from your Deck or Extra Deck with the same original Type, Attribute, and Level/Rank/Link Rating, and if you do, take control of it, but if you banished a monster with the same original name, negate the taken monster’s effects. Another Labrynth toy? Absolutely! With most decks relying heavily on field presence, this new trap card is a game-changer. It allows you to permanently control one of your opponent's monsters. If that monster has a threatening effect, you can simply banish one monster with the same original name to negate the controlled monster's effects. This card is perfect for mirror matches, giving you the upper hand in controlling the battlefield!   Chaotic Elements Chaotic Elements Card Type: Normal Spell CardDescription: Add 1 Level 5 or higher LIGHT or DARK Pyro or Aqua monster from your Deck or GY to the hand, then, if you have 3 or more Pyro and/or Aqua monsters in your GY, you can destroy 1 card on the field. If your opponent controls a LIGHT or DARK Pyro or Aqua monster: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; take control of it until the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Chaotic Elements" once per turn. Get ready for a meta-shifting card! This new generic card, designed as a pseudo-boost for both Ashened and Tistina, is here to shake things up. Not only can it search for a level 5 or higher LIGHT or DARK Pyro or Aqua monster from your Deck or GY to your hand, but it also has a powerful Graveyard effect. By banishing this Spell card from your Graveyard, you can take control of one of your opponent’s LIGHT or DARK Pyro or Aqua monsters. Did you know you can even take control of your opponent’s Ryzeal Detonator since it's a LIGHT Pyro monster? This card is a must-have for combating the current meta!    Philia Regis Philia Regis Card Type: Effect Fusion MonsterLevel: 8Rarity: RAttribute: DARKTypes: Dragon / Fusion / EffectATK: 3000DEF: 2500Description: 1 Dragon Fusion Monster + 1 Level 7 or higher Dragon monster During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can target 1 card your opponent controls or in their GY; banish it, then, if you banished a card from the field, return 1 Dragon monster you control to the hand. At the start of your opponent's Battle Phase, if this card is in your GY: You can return 1 Dragon monster you control to the hand/Extra Deck, and if you do, Special Summon this card. You can only use each effect of "Philia Regis" once per turn. Get ready for the ultimate Dragonmaid combo! With Super Polymerization, you can now fuse your opponent’s Lady’s Dragonmaid and Dragonmaid Sheou to bring out this powerhouse. Not only does it combine the best of Dragonmaid Boost and Dragonmaid Counter, but it also has additional effects that can disrupt your opponent’s field and Graveyard. Plus, it can revive itself, making it a formidable force on the battlefield.   Back-Up @Ignister and Wizard @Ignister Backup @Ignister Types: DARK/ Cyberse / Tuner / Effect/ 3ATK: 1200DEF: 800Description: If you control a Cyberse monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 DARK Cyberse monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Backup @Ignister", then discard 1 card. You can only use each effect of "Backup @Ignister" once per turn. Wizard @Ignister Types: DARK/ Cyberse / Effect / 4ATK: 1800DEF: 800Description: If you control a Cyberse monster Special Summoned from the Extra Deck: You can target 1 DARK Cyberse monster in your GY; Special Summon both this card from your hand and that monster in Defense Position, also you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters. You can banish this card from your field or GY, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; change its battle position. You can only use each effect of "Wizard @Ignister" once per turn. Get ready to power up your Maliss deck with two new @Ignister cards! These cards are perfect for extending your plays and strengthening your end board. From my observation, the common ratio is to play three (3) Back-up @Ignister and one (1) Wizard @Ignister. This setup ensures you have the right balance to maximize your strategy and dominate the game.   Diabell Engine This engine involves these main cards:   3 Witches of the White Forest 1 Diabellestarr the Sin Adjudicator 1 Diabellze the White Witch a.      Curse of Diabell 1 Mystic Mystery of the White Forest   This engine works perfectly in Regenesis in bringing out useful 2500 stats monster that can provide decent interruption and boosting the Azamina White Forest theme in general.   Summary: ALLIANCE INSIGHT has unleashed a flurry of exciting new cards that are already making waves in the meta! [RespectYGO] Why should you consider building “Crystron” in this meta? | Archetype Starter Guide
Why should you consider building “Crystron” in this meta? | Archetype Starter Guide Hey Duelists! ArcKnight here with some thrilling news! Asian English has just dropped Creation Pack 06, introducing exciting new themes that tie into the upcoming Main Booster Pack – Supreme Darkness, set to release this February. Among these themes is the classic Crystron, which has received a fantastic boost in SUDA, propelling them into the meta spotlight. Today, we'll delve into the key cards and explore some sample deck lists to inspire you to craft your Crystron Deck. Let's dive in! Let’s meet the Crystrons! Crystron Smiger Crystron Smiger Level: 3Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Effect ATK: 1000DEF: 1800 You can target 1 face-up card you control; you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine-Type Synchro Monsters, also, destroy that card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Crystron" Tuner from your Deck. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Crystron" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Crystron Smiger" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Card Review: One of the main starters of the theme. You would most likely use its 2nd effect to search for a Crystron Spell/Trap over its first effect, and this works well with the new link monster from SUPREME DARKNESS called Clockwork Knight. Ratio: Play 3 copies.   Crystron Sulfefnir Crystron Tristalos Card Type: Tuner Level: 2 Attribute: Water Types: Machine ATK: 800DEF: 2000 When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck, except "Crystron Tristalos", then, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Machine monster using that monster you control. You can banish this card from your GY; destroy 1 Synchro Monster you control, and if you do, Special Summon 2 "Crystron" monsters from your Deck, also you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine monsters. You can only each effect of "Crystron Tristalos" once per turn. Card Review: The newest low-level tuner is released in SUPREME DARKNESS. Crystron Tristalos serves as your ultimate extender or simply a way to dodge those targeting effects with its quick synchro 1st effect. Ratio: Play 2-3 copies.   Crystron Sulfefnir Crystron Sulfefnir Level: 5 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Effect ATK: 2000 DEF: 1500 If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can discard 1 "Crystron" card, except "Crystron Sulfefnir"; Special Summon this card in Defense Position, then destroy 1 card you control. If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Crystron Sulfefnir" once per turn.   Card Review: Crystron Sulfefnir is another way to fetch your Crystron Smiger or other relevant Crystron monster, depending on the scenario, for as long as you have another Crystron card to discard. Ratio: Play 3 copies.    Crystron Sulfador Crystron SulfadorLevel: 5Attribute: WaterTypes: MachineATK: 1900DEF: 2250 If this card is in your hand or GY: You can target 1 "Crystron" card you control; destroy it, and if you do, Special Summon this card, also you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send up to 2 "Crystron" cards with different names from your Deck to the GY, except "Crystron Sulfador". You can only use each effect of "Crystron Sulfador" once per turn.   Card Review: Crystron Sulfador is another new Crystron card from SUPREME DARKNESS, one of your primary targets for the new spell Crystron Inclusion. When summoned, it can send up to 2 Crystron cards with different names from your Deck to your GY which helps send your combo pieces. Ratio: Play 2-3 copies.   Crystron Prasiortle Crystron Prasiortle Level: 2 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Effect ATK: 500 DEF: 2000 You can target 1 face-up card you control; you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine-Type Synchro Monsters, also, destroy that card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Crystron" Tuner from your Deck. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Crystron" monster from your hand. You can only use 1 "Crystron Prasiortle" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Card Review: Crystron Prasiortle helps you further extend your plays by allowing you to summon 1 Crystron monster from your hand by banishing this card from your Graveyard. Ratio: Play 1-3 copies.   Crystron Citree  Crystron Citree Card Type: Effect Tuner monster Level: 2 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Tuner / Effect ATK: 500 DEF: 500 Description: During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase: You can target 1 non-Tuner monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it, but it has its effects negated (if any), and if you do, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Machine-Type Synchro Monster using only that monster and this card (this is a Quick Effect). These Synchro Materials are banished instead of being sent to the Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Crystron Citree" once per turn. Card Review: Crystron Citree is another Tuner target for your Crystron that can also help strengthen your board as it can revive a non-tuner monster in your Graveyard to Synchro summon 1 Machine synchro. Ratio: Play 1 copy.   Crystron Thystvern  Crystron Thystvern Level: 3 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Effect ATK: 1500 DEF: 1500 Description: You can target 1 face-up card you control; you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine-Type Synchro Monsters, also, destroy that card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Crystron" Tuner from your Deck. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Crystron" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Crystron Thystvern". You can only use 1 "Crystron Thystvern" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Card Review: Like most non-tuner Crystron monsters, you can also special summon 1 Crystron tuner from your deck when you destroy 1 face-up card you control. Unlike Crystron Smiger, its ATK doesn’t work with Clockwork Knight, so you won’t easily be able to take advantage of its effect to add 1 Crystron monster from your Deck to your hand without a way to send this card to the Graveyard. It’s a neat starter when paired with Foolish Burial or Crystron Sulfador, to name a few. Ratio: Play 1 copy.   Crystron Rosenix Crystron Rosenix Level: 4 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Effect ATK: 1800 DEF: 1000 You can target 1 face-up card you control; you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Machine-Type Synchro Monsters, also, destroy that card, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Crystron" Tuner from your Deck. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Crystron Token" (Machine-Type/WATER/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0), but it cannot be Tributed. You can only use 1 "Crystron Rosenix" effect per turn, and only once that turn. Card Review: Crystron Rosenix helps you add another body with its token-generating Graveyard effect. It works best when you already have another monster to synchro with. Ratio: Play 0-1 copy.   Crystron Rion  Crystron Rion Level: 3 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Tuner / Effect ATK: 500 DEF: 500 During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase: You can target 1 of your banished non-Tuner monsters; Special Summon it, but it has its effects negated (if any), and if you do, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Machine-Type Synchro Monster using only that monster and this card (this is a Quick Effect). These Synchro Materials are shuffled into the Deck instead of sent to the Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Crystron Rion" once per turn. Card Review: Like Citree, Rion can also help you Synchro-climb, but instead of a non-tuner monster from your Graveyard, it can fetch a monster straight from banishment. Ratio: Play 0-1 copy.   Crystron Quan Crystron Quan Level: 1 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Tuner / Effect ATK: 500 DEF: 500 During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase: You can Special Summon 1 non-Tuner monster from your hand, but it has its effects negated (if any), and if you do, immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Machine-Type Synchro Monster using only that monster and this card (this is a Quick Effect). You can only use this effect of "Crystron Quan" once per turn. Card Review: This Crystron tuner monster can bring a synchro on your opponent’s Main Phase or Battle Phase by special summoning a non-tuner monster from your hand. With a game revolving around card advantage, it is preferable to use Citree or Rion. Ratio: Play 0-1 copy.   Crystron Eleskeletus Crystron Eleskeletus Card Type: Synchro Level: 5 Attribute: Water Types: Machine ATK: 2600 DEF: 2100 1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monstersMonsters your opponent controls lose 500 ATK/DEF. You can only use each of the following effects of "Crystron Eleskeletus" once per turn. If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can add 1 "Crystron" card from your GY or banishment to your hand. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Crystron" monster from your GY or banishment.   Card Review: This is your go-to Crystron Synchro monster. This synchro combos well with Crystron Sulfador to help you fetch Crystron monsters and Crystron Spell/Traps from Graveyard or Banishment. Ratio: Play 2-3 copies.   Crystron Ametrix Crystron Ametrix Level: 5 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Synchro / Effect ATK: 2500 DEF: 15001 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can change all face-up Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 "Crystron" monster in your Graveyard, except a Synchro Monster; Special Summon it.   Card Review: One of the OG Crystron Synchro monsters. By itself, it can help mass change your opponent’s battle position to defense position to prevent OTK or allow you to run over them. It also floats to a new Crystron monster from your Graveyard when it is destroyed by battle or card effect. Ratio: Play 1 copy.   Crystron Quandax  Crystron Quandax Level: 4 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Synchro / Tuner / Effect ATK: 1800 DEF: 20001 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per Chain, during your opponent's Main or Battle Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster, using materials including this card you control. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 "Crystron" monster in your GY, except a Synchro Monster; Special Summon it.   Card Review: This synchro helps you climb to another Synchro monster, ala Formula Synchron. Also, it has a floating effect that can revive a Crystron monster from your Graveyard when it is destroyed by battle or card effect. Ratio: Play 0-1 copy.   Crystron Phoenix Crystron Phoenix Level: 9Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Synchro / Effect ATK: 2800 DEF: 2000 Description: 1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can banish all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls and in their Graveyard. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target one other monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.   Card Review: This synchro works best against decks reliant on back rows. It is a neat tech that can surprise your opponent. Ratio: Play 0-1 copy.   Crystron Quariongandrax Crystron Quariongandrax Level: 9 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Synchro / Effect ATK: 3000 DEF: 3000 Description: 2 or more Tuners + 1 non-Tuner monsterIf this card is Synchro Summoned: You can target monsters your opponent controls and/or in their Graveyard, up to the number of Synchro Materials used for the Synchro Summon of this card; banish them. If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 banished monster, except this card; Special Summon it to your field.   Card Review: The big boss of the Crystron theme. In the actual game, you would most likely use 3 materials to summon this Synchro, which means you can banish up to 3 monsters on your opponent’s field and/or Graveyard, making it a game changer. Ratio: Play 1 copy.   Crystron Halqifibrax Crystron Halqifibrax Link: 2 Attribute: WATER Types: Machine / Link / Effect ATK: 1500 2 monsters, including a TunerIf this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Tuner from your hand or Deck in Defense Position, but it cannot activate its effects this turn. During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 1 Tuner Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) You can only use each effect of "Crystron Halqifibrax" once per turn.   Card Review: Crystron Halqifibrax made a huge comeback in Asian English, which means AE players can maximize It as an additional option. Most of the new cards are designed to work with the absence of Halqifribax, but Halqifibrax will definitely be a great addition to tutoring your tuner monsters. Ratio: Play 1 copy (AE only)   Crystron Inclusion Crystron InclusionCard Type: SpellTypes: Continuous Spell When this card is activated: You can add 1 "Crystron" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Crystron Inclusion". The first time each of your "Crystron" monsters would be destroyed by battle each turn, it is not destroyed. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Crystron" monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Crystron Inclusion" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Crystron Inclusion" per turn.   Card Review: Crystron Inclusion is an excellent 3-of card to “include” in your Crystron Deck. This works well with Crystron Sulfador and is one of your key cards to help establish your end board. Ratio: Play 3 copies, no questions asked.   Crystron Cluster Crystron ClusterContinuous Trap "Crystron" cards you control cannot be banished by your opponent's card effects. You can target 1 face-up card on the field, or up to 2 if you control a "Crystron" Synchro Monster; shuffle 1 "Crystron" card from your GY or banishment into the Deck, except "Crystron Cluster", and if you do, destroy the targeted cards. You can only use this effect of "Crystron Cluster" once per turn.   Card Review: Crystron Cluster is an excellent back row that can deal with your opponent’s field presence. It also has a neat banishment protection for your Crystron cards. Since this is also a Crystron card, it is immune to Cosmic Cyclone. Ratio: Play 1 copy. Review all cards related to Crystron here.   Sample Decklists Here are some sample decklists from the OCG that you can use to inspire your Asian English Crystron. Decklist 1   Decklist 2 Summary:  Creation Pack 06 has just dropped, and it's packed with some seriously cool themes and tech cards that could shake up today's meta! [RespectYGO] Which Decks Should You Try with “Dimension Shifter” in Asian English Format? | Discussion
Which Decks Should You Try with “Dimension Shifter” in Asian English Format? | Discussion Hey Duelists! ArcKnight here. As we draw a new hand for the new year in the Asian English format, the real duel begins with choosing your next best deck. With different playstyles and local meta, it's a challenge that requires serious strategy! One thing's for sure: today's decks are graveyard-reliant. From Snake Eyes to Memento and Gimmick Puppet, they all need access to the GY. In this article, we'll cover decks that can maximize Dimension Shifter. It's time to unleash your villain arc and dominate the duel! How powerful is Dimension Shifter in this format? Dimension shifter remains at three copies in the January 2025 Asian English Forbidden & Limited List. Aside from the mighty Called by the Grave getting semi-limited in Asian English, no other usual main deck staples can counter the sneaky Dimension Shifter. If your opponent's deck is allergic to banishing, you can quickly gain control of the game. Ready to dominate? Let's dive into some epic decks in Asian English that will help you unleash the full power of this game-changing hand trap. Get your game face on because it's time to banish your opponents' hopes and dreams! 1.      Floowandereeze When it comes to Dimension Shifter, the first deck that should pop into your mind is none other than Floowandereeze! This deck is a perfect match for Dimension Shifter, and here's why: it's all about those Normal Summons. That means your opponent's Maxx "C" and Mulcharmy Fuwalos aren’t going to be as helpful as they expect them to be. (Imagine the opponent using them in the standby phase only to find out you’re playing birbs.) So, if you're looking to take control of the game and leave your opponents flapping in the wind, Floowandereeze is your go-to deck Sample List: 2.      Tenpai Dragon Tenpai Dragon isn't ready to be benched even with fewer starters. But beware, brave duelist! You must be as sharp as a dragon's claw when using your limited Tenpai Dragon Chundra while Dimension Shifter is active. Pro tip: Make sure you're going for the win the turn you use Tenpai Dragon Chundra, especially when your graveyard access is denied. Timing is everything, so unleash your inner dragon and aim for victory! Sample List: 3.      Millennium Exodia Millennium is a top-tier choice for duelists who love combining classic monsters with a competitive edge. Not only can you obliterate your opponent with the unstoppable Exodia, but your combos also don't rely heavily on the Graveyard. You can turn this to your advantage and leave your opponents scrambling! So, if you're looking to dominate the duel with a mix of nostalgia and power, Millennium is your go-to deck. Sample List: 4.      Shining Sarcophagus This deck is a fantastic contender, blending classic OG monsters with powerful new abilities. It pairs perfectly with Dimension Shifter, and its straightforward playstyle can also steal games right from under your opponent's nose! So, if you're ready to harness the power of ancient legends and outplay your rivals, Shining Sarcophagus is your ticket to victory. Get ready to shine and dominate the duel! Sample List: 5.      Ghoti Why Ghoti? Imagine combining the power of the ocean with the precision of Synchro summoning. Ghoti's unique playstyle revolves around banishing cards to unleash powerful combos and dominate the duel. With each banished card, you're setting the stage for a tidal wave of victory! Sample List: 6.      Nemleria If you're looking for a deck with a simple yet cool strategy that maximizes the banishing mechanic, Nemleria is your go-to choice. This deck is a fantastic beat-down and stun option, perfect for duelists who love straightforward yet powerful gameplay. Nemleria's unique approach lets you control the game and keep your opponents on the defensive. With each banished card, you're paving the way for a stunning victory when Dreaming Nemleria wakes up. Sample List: 7.      Vanquished Soul This promising deck brings a unique strategy, allowing you to dominate the duel based on the attributes you reveal. It's like having a secret weapon up your sleeve! With each move, you're not just playing the game but controlling it. Vanquish Soul's strategy is outsmarting your opponent and turning the tide in your favor. Best of all, Dimension Shifter is a DARK monster that can complement your Vanquish Soul monster effects. Sample List: 8.      Centur-Ion This deck is a fantastic choice, especially now that it can work seamlessly with Dimension Shifter, thanks to their new support. It's like giving your deck a turbo boost! Centur-Ion's new support cards enhance its ability to banish, making it a perfect match for Dimension Shifter. You can maximize your deck's potential and outplay your opponents with strategic banishing moves. It's all about timing and precision, and Centur-Ion delivers both in spades! Sample List: Summary Choosing your next best deck is an adventure! It's all about finding the perfect fit for your playstyle, local meta, and budget. Playing a deck capable of mining or siding Dimension Shifter in this ever-changing environment can give you a significant edge. It's like having a secret weapon ready to turn the tide of any duel! Keep an eye out for Maliss! This deck is another incredible choice, and it will be arriving soon in the Deck Build Pack: Crossover Breakers in Asian English. With its unique strategies and powerful cards, Maliss will shake things up and offer exciting new possibilities. Remember, the most important thing is to have fun! No matter what deck you choose, always remember the core reason you're playing: to enjoy the game. Embrace the thrill of the duel, the joy of strategic plays, and the camaraderie with fellow duelists. This has been ArcKnight of RespectYGO. Thanks for reading until the end. Keep dueling, keep smiling, and may your draws always be in your favor!

[RespectYGO] Top 10 Must-Try Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks in Asian English for 2025 – Post-Banlist Edition! | Discussion
[RespectYGO] Top 10 Must-Try Yu-Gi-Oh! Decks in Asian English for 2025 – Post-Banlist Edition! | Discussion Hey Duelists! ArcKnight here. The first Asian English Forbidden and Limited List Update, effective January 1, 2025, is out! While it hit many of 2024's top decks, it also gives new decks a chance to shine. Choosing your next deck in the AE Format might be tough, especially after playing in a full-powered meta. But don't worry, I've got you covered! Let's dive into the top 10 decks to try post-January 2025 AE Banlist. Let’s go! January 2025 AE Forbidden and Limited List Recap Before we proceed, let’s review the newest forbidden and limited list for Asian English. Forbidden No changes. Limited: Diabellestarr the Black Witch Snake-Eyes Ash Snake-Eyes Poplar Tenpai Dragon Chundra Crossout Designator Foolish Burial Harpie’s Feather Duster Monster Reborn Kaiser Colosseum Reinforcement of the Army Runick Fountain Sangen Summoning Terraforming WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils Skill Drain Summon Limit   Semi Limited:   Bonfire Called by the Grave One for One Pot of Desires Pot of Extravagance Pot of Prosperity Purrely Sleepy Memory Red Reboot   Unlimited:   No changes   For the full list, please refer to the Official Website.   What are the must-try decks post-January AE banlist? For those curious, Asian English (AE) is a unique format played in OCG territories outside Japan and Korea. It uses cards marked with "-AE" in their set codes and English text. The AE format has a limited card pool, which explains some of the choices in the list. AE cards are versatile and can also be used in OCG tournaments. While the forbidden section stayed the same, this list hit popular strategies like Tenpai Dragon, Snake-Eyes, and Runick. It also limited staple cards like Terraforming, Reinforcement of the Army, Skill Drain, and Crossout Designator, similar to the current OCG List. With fewer ways to counter popular hand traps like Maxx "C", Mucharmy Fuwalos, and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, the gameplay of most decks will change drastically. Here are 10 decks that you can explore in the new AE format. Note that these selections are only based on my personal observation and may change depending on the environment. Rescue Ace Rescue Ace is a top pick with EMERGENCY! and Rescue Ace Air Lifter still at 3 copies. You can tech the Diabellestarr engine and bridge to your Rescue Ace Hydrant using the new Azamina engine from RAGE OF THE ABYSS. With only 1 Harpie’s Feather Duster next year, board wipes are less of a threat. Just watch out for Evenly Matched! 😉 Yubel Yubel is another top contender for next year. Even with only 1 Terraforming post-banlist, you still have 3 copies of Phantom of Yubel. Plus, with SELECTION 5 – QUARTER CENTURY EDITION, you can boost your end board with Muckracker of the Underworld and Knightmare Gryphon. Get ready to dominate!  Memento Memento is another fantastic choice with its consistency and power. The deck excels at countering targeting effects with its quick-play cards. Just watch out for Dimension Shifter, as it's still at 3. Gimmick Puppet Ready to be their guest? Meet the Gimmick Puppet theme, specializing in FTK (First-Turn Kill)! The core strategy is to inflict effect damage until your opponent hits 0 on your first turn. Aside from Terraforming, the core strategy is untouched. Plus, you can maximize the Horus engine for extra bait. Like Memento, just pray you don't face Dimension Shifter! Voiceless Voice Voiceless Voice is another solid choice with its straightforward plays and versatility against common hand traps. If you don’t like a deck that can be stopped by Maxx “C”, and Mulcharmy Fuwalos, Voiceless Voice can be your best bet. Protect Lo at all costs! Snake-Eye Fire King Yes, the deck is very much alive with fewer Snake-Eyes in the year of the Snake (2025). Fire King High Avatar Kirin is still at 3 copies and the deck can still land on explosive plays. The Snake-Eye and Diabellestarr can still be used as an engine to bridge your Fire King plays. Chimera Here's another deck to try that can maximize the new Azamina and Horus to speed things up. This deck is consistent and versatile, perfect for countering your opponent's plays. Plus, you can easily access floodgates like Diabellze the Original Sin or King Tiger Wanghu. Fiendsmith Pure Fiendsmith decks are becoming a thing lately because all you need is at least one LIGHT Fiend monster to get things going (and add 365354947 hand traps). With the introduction of Primite from RAGE OF THE ABYSS, you can use it to bridge to White Duston and access your core plays. Magical Musket is also a great deck to combine with Fiendsmith. Salamangreat Salamangreat is a safe bet with its consistency and solid endboard. It boasts plenty of one-card combos that can lead to powerful plays. Just watch out for the rock, as you have fewer Kaiser Colosseums to play this time. Get ready to blaze through the competition! Labyrinth If you’re looking for a control deck, Labrynth is a great choice. The deck has access to powerful normal trap cards that exist in Asian English, and you still have 3 Big Welcome Labyrinth in AE format.   Summary: Asian English is finally catching up to the OCG format, and with decks like Ryzeal and Maliss arriving next year, the competition is heating up! I'm excited to explore new decks and see how they fare in the next meta. Be sure to test and familiarize yourself with your deck before your next tournament, and always remember to have fun playing. This has been ArcKnight of RespectYGO. Thanks for joining today’s discussion, and happy holidays everyone!

DUEL IGNITION DECK: HERO The DUEL IGNITION DECK: HERO features 50 cards, including multiple copies of some necessary to optimize your HERO deck using only one box. The HERO deck aims to bring out powerful HERO Fusion monsters while maintaining control of your opponent’s strategy. This box has various copies of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Maxx “C,” and Called by the Grave, essential staples for a competitive deck. What I like about the DUEL IGNITION DECK: HERO is the inclusion of the majority of some hard-to-obtain promotional Extra Deck cards, which are essential in making your HERO deck formidable. Since the deck maximizes Mask Change, you might also want to get your Masked Hero Dark Law copy from the RARITY COLLECTION – QUARTER CENTURY EDITION Asian English. What’s nice about this DUEL IGNITION DECK is that it houses most of the necessary Wyrm and generic synchro and link monsters fit for the Swordsoul Strategy. Did I mention that it even has the Tenyi engine inside? [RespectYGO] Elevate your Strategy with “Primite”! | Archetype Starter Guide
Welcome to the Primite Archetype Starter Guide! This guide will introduce you to the Primite archetype from the RAGE OF THE ABYSS set and its robust support cards from SUPREME DARKNESS. The Primite archetype revolves around cards that support Normal monsters that can help you dominate the battlefield with their powerful effects. These cards are designed to synergize with each other, creating a formidable strategy that can overwhelm opponents. In this guide, we'll cover the key cards, strategies, and decklists to help you use the Primite cards and unleash their full potential in your duels. Let's dive into the primal world of Primite and discover how to harness their strength!   Here’s a quick guide to get you started with building your Primite deck: Introducing the new “Primite” cards! Sample Decklists Summary Introducing the new “Primite” cards! The Primite cards are prevalent in today’s metagame with their synergy in decks that cater to Normal monsters. The cards in the theme can provide additional consistency boost and interruption when necessary. Let’s discuss their cards and the recommended ratio. Primite Imperial Dragon Attribute: EarthType: Dragon Level: 6ATK: 2600DEF: 0 Requires 1 Normal Monster Tribute to Normal Summon. During your opponent's Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can reveal this card in your hand; immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 "Primite" monster. You can only use this effect of "Primite Imperial Dragon" once per turn. If this card is Tribute Summoned: You can apply these effects, in sequence.- Negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls.- Banish all monsters your opponent controls with the same Type and/or Attribute as any of the Normal Monsters in your GY. ===== The boss monster of the theme. It acts as an instant hand trap that allows you to normal summon 1 Primite monster (including itself, provided you have the required tribute material). It acts as a mass negate for your opponent's monsters or a potential monster wipe depending on the Type and/or attribute of any Normal Monsters in your GY. Ratio: Run 0-1 copy or 1-3 copies if playing pure. Primite Another Beryl Primite Another BerylCard Number: Suda-JP015Card Type: EffectLevel: 4Rarity: NAttribute: EarthTypes: DragonATK: 1600DEF: 0 If this card is Normal Summoned: You can Set 1 "Primite" Spell/Trap from your Deck. You can only use each of the following effects of "Primite Another Beryl" once per turn. You can Tribute this card; send 1 Normal Monster from your Deck to the GY. During your Standby Phase, if you have a Normal Monster on your field or in your GY: You can add this card from your GY to your hand. ==== The newest Primite monster in SUPREME DARKNESS and the best one so far! When Normal Summoned, it can directly set any 1 Primite Spell/Trap from your deck making it a perfect starter. It can also set up your Normal Monster to the GY and recycle itself back to your hand during your standby phase when you have a Normal Monster on your field or GY. Ratio: Run 3 copies.   Primite Lordly Lode Primite Lordly LodeCard Number: Rota-AE058Card Type: SpellRarity: SRTypes: Continuous Spell When this card is activated: Add 1 "Primite" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Primite Lordly Lode". You can declare 1 Normal Monster Card name; Special Summon 1 declared Normal Monster from your hand, Deck, or GY in Defense Position, also you cannot activate the effects of Special Summoned monsters on the field this turn. You can only use each effect of "Primite Lordly Lode" once per turn. Normal Monsters and "Primite" monsters you control gain 300 ATK for each Normal Monster with different names in your GY. === The primary searcher spell of the theme. It can search 1 Primite card from your deck on activation and can even special summon 1 Normal Monster from hand, Deck, or GY on its own. Ratio: Run 2-3 copies. Primite Roar Primite RoarCard Number: Rota-AE059Card Type: SpellRarity: NTypes: Quick Play Spell Pay 2000 LP, then declare 1 Normal Monster Card name; the declared Normal Monsters and "Primite" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle (until the end of your opponent's turn), then if you control no monsters, you can Special Summon 1 declared Normal Monster from your Deck in Defense Position. If your opponent Normal Summons a monster: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Normal Monster you control or in your GY; banish 1 monster from the field with less ATK than that monster. === This Primite spell helps you special summon any 1 Normal Monster Card name that you declare from your Deck and provides neat battle protection. Its graveyard effect acts as an additional interruption depending on the ATK of the Normal monster you have in your GY. Ratio: Run 1-3 copies.   Primite Drillbeam Primite DrillbeamCard Number: Rota-AE060Card Type: SpellRarity: NTypes: Quick Play Spell Reveal 1 "Primite" card, or 1 Normal Monster, in your hand, except "Primite Drillbeam" (or if you control a Normal Monster or a Level 5 or higher "Primite" monster, except a Token, you can activate this effect without revealing a card), then target 1 face-up card on the field; negate its effects, and if you do, banish it. During your Main Phase, if you control a "Primite" monster: You can Set this card from your GY. You can only use each effect of "Primite Drillbeam" once per turn. === Primitive Drillbeam is one of the main interruptions of this deck. It allows you to negate any 1 face-up card on the field and banish that card as a result. The cool part is that you can set it during your main phase from the GY for as long as you control a Primite monster. Ratio: Run 1-3 copies. Primite Howl Primite HowlCard Number: Rota-AE076Card Type: TrapRarity: NTypes: Normal Trap Declare 1 Normal Monster Card name; you take no battle damage from battles involving your declared Normal Monsters or your "Primite" monsters (for the rest of this turn), then if you control no monsters, you can Special Summon 1 declared Normal Monster from your Deck or GY. During your opponent's turn: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 Normal Monster you control or in your GY; take control of 1 monster your opponent controls with higher ATK than that monster, until the End Phase. === Another Normal Monster searcher in the form of a trap card. Suppose you banish it from your GY during your opponent’s turn. In that case, you can also take control of 1 monster your opponent controls with higher ATK than the Normal Monster you targeted on your field or in your GY, making it an excellent interruption to stop your opponent, from establishing their combo. Ratio: Run 0-3 copies. Primite Resounding Reaction Primite Resounding Reaction Card Number: Suda-JP076 Card Type: Trap Rarity: N Types: Counter Trap When your opponent would Normal or Special Summon a monster(s) while you control a Normal Monster or a Level 5 or higher "Primite" monster, except a Token: Negate the Summon, and if you do, banish that monster(s). During your Standby Phase, if you control a "Primite" monster: You can Set this card from your GY, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Primite Resounding Reaction" once per turn. === The newest Primite trap from SUPREME DARKNESS and this one’s a counter trap that could negate the Normal or Special Summon of monster(s) for as long as you control either a Normal monster or a Level 5 or higher Primite monster except a Token. Like Primite Another Beryl, it has its way of recycling itself from your GY, making it excellent during grind games. Ratio: Run 0-3 copies.
