Why should you play “Salamangreat”? | Archetype Starter Guide "Surging flame, awaken Heatlio's true strength with the power of purification! Reincarnation Link Summon! Resurrect, the king of beasts that runs through the fire prairie! Salamangreat Heatlio!"   Soulburner is my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains character, that’s why when I heard that Salamangreat got new support recently, it brought back some good memories when I piloted this theme when the structured deck came out. With the upcoming Salamangreat Sanctum Structure Deck in Asian English, I feel this is the perfect time to reignite the flame and share a quick starter guide on how to play Salamangreat. Are you ready to unleash the flame? Let’s go! Archetype Overview “Salamangreat” key cards Sample Decklist Summary   Archetype Overview Salamangreat is an all cyberse archetype that consists of animals with flame-themed armor. The term Salamangreat is a portmanteau of Salamander and Great. It is widely known as the deck of Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains character Soulburner and the deck is focused on summoning powerful monsters ranging from Link, XYZ, Synchro, Fusion, and Ritual. The deck’s main gimmick lies in swarming the field with Salamangreat monsters and link climbing to your desired Salamangreat link monsters, eventually leading to either a one-turn kill (OTK) or control.   This theme is also popular with its cool strategy called Reincarnation link summon. It can be achieved by summoning a Salamangreat link monster using the same link monster as material or using their main field spell, Salamangreat Sanctuary. The deck’s strategy is solid and versatile, making it a great choice if you want to play something competitive yet fun to pilot.   Let’s know more about the key Salamangreat cards that you need when you construct your Salamangreat deck. Let’s dive in! Salamangreat “Key” cards Let’s discuss the cards that you’ll need in your Salamangreat deck: Monsters Salamangreat Gazelle   One of the key cards of Salamangreat. Salamangreat Gazelle can extend your plays by being a body for summons such as link, and XYZ summon or by sending a Salamangreat card from your deck to your Graveyard. I normally send Salamangreat Spinny to help facilitate the XYZ summon of Salamangreat Miragestallio or Salamangreat Roar and Salamangreat Rage if I already have my extenders in hand. Ratio: Play three copies.   Salamangreat Spinny Salamangreat Spinny goes hand-in-hand with Salamangreat Gazelle, which is your instant access to Salamangreat Miragestallio when combined with another level 3 monster for an XYZ summon. Since being detached as a material doesn’t count as leaving the field, you can use this as a material to bypass that effect when this card is detached so you can revive it again on your next turn and prevent it from being banished! Ratio: Play 2-3 copies. Salamangreat of Fire The newest main deck Salamangreat monster that can search your searchers! When it is normal or special summoned, you can use its effect to add 1 level 4 or lower Salamangreat monster from your deck to your hand except itself. While you become affected by its restriction to only special summon FIRE monsters for the rest of that turn that you used its effect, most of your key Extra deck monsters are FIRE anyway, so you won’t feel the effect that much. Ratio: Run 1-3. While it functions almost like Lady Debug, the Salamangreat name makes it more flexible and searchable.   Salamangreat Foxy Salamangreat Foxy can be a +1 in card advantage when you successfully reveal a useful Salamangreat card when you use its first effect. It also has a second effect that allows you to special summon it back to your field from the Graveyard by discarding a Salamangreat card while a face-up Spell or Trap is on the field and an option to destroy a face-up Spell or Trap card on the field subsequently. This is very helpful in clearing floodgates like Skill Drain or even threats like Nightmare Pain and Barrier of the Voiceless Voice. Also, the destruction effect is part of its second effect resolution, so if your opponent doesn’t respond to this card’s 2nd effect, you can destroy their face-up Spell and Trap card without them having a chance to react anymore! (Or you can bait their negation :D) Ratio: Run 1-3 copies. Salamangreat Jack Jaguar Salamangreat Jack Jaguar is another Salamangreat extender that helps you trigger Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf’s FIRE monster recycling effect. Aside from its piercing first effect, its other purpose is to help you replenish your used Salamangreat monster in your Graveyard back to your deck, especially if you have a reincarnation link summoned multiple times already. Ratio: Run 1.   Salamangreat Weasel This new Salamangreat monster serves as another extender while helping you climb to Salamangreat Raging Phoenix easily with the help of Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames. When you link summon a Salamangreat link monster, use its effect to special summon one other Salamangreat monster from your Graveyard to your opponent’s field and draw 1 card. This would trigger Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames’ effect, to destroy 1 FIRE on your field and 1 special summoned monster on your opponent’s field to revive Promethean Princess. You can then use Salamangreat Raging Phoenix and Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, to reincarnation link summon Salamangreat Raging Phoenix so it can gain its search effect! Ratio: Run one copy. Salamangreat Falco Salamangreat Falco back in the day can help you gain access to either Number 16: Bagooska or Abyss Dweller in combination with Salamangreat Jack Jaguar. It can also act as an extender by returning 1 Salamangreat monster you control back to your hand to special summon itself from the Graveyard. Lastly, you can set 1 Salamangreat Spell/Trap in your Graveyard when it is sent to Graveyard, which can be useful in some situations. Ratio: Run 0-1. Salamangreat Meer Salamangreat Meer is also a nice tech, as it can turn your Salamangreat Circle into another extender if you exhaust your main Salamangreat extenders. Run 0-1 copy. Code of Soul Code of Soul acts as an extender and your instant way to wipe your opponent’s board via Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix. Excellent card! Ratio: Run 0-1.   Lady Debug An honorary Salamangreat indeed. This is one of the main starters of pre-Salamangreat of Fire, as it can search a level 3 or lower Cyberse monster when it is Normal or Special Summoned. The downside is that it doesn’t have Salamangreat in its name, so when this card is negated, your chances to trigger Salamangreat Gazelle are lesser unless you force the reincarnation link to summon Salamangreat Balelynx via Salamangreat Sanctuary. It is a decent starter and can bait hand traps for sure. Ratio: Run 0-3. Running multiple starters that eat your one normal summon may conflict, so ensure that you test accordingly and adjust based on your preference. 😊 Extra Deck Salamangreat Balelynx Salamangreat Balelyx is your go-to Link 1 monster to trigger Salamangreat Gazelle in hand when you use a Salamangreat monster as a link material or other summons that would send a Salamangreat to the graveyard. Its main purpose is to tutor your Salamangreat Sanctuary field spell to help you do reincarnation links. It also protects your Salamangreat card (s) in battle or card effect once per turn by banishing Salamangreat Balelyx. Run 2-3. Three copies are optimal, in my opinion, as it can help you climb to S:P Little Night easily, too! (If you still have a space for it in your Extra Deck) Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf can help you recycle one FIRE monster when a monster is summoned pointing to its link point. This card combos very well with Salamangreat Jack Jaguar not to mention you can recycle a powerful hand trap such as Ash Blossom and Joyous Spring. (wink) When this card is summoned using Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf (using Salamangreat Sanctuary or using two FIRE monsters including itself if you’d like to do it manually), you can add 1 Salamangreat Spell/Trap from your Graveyard back to your hand during your main phase. For example, you can use it to recycle the Salamangreat Roar you sent via Salamangreat Gazelle to the Graveyard. Run 2-3 copies. Salamangreat Raging Phoenix The cover card of the Salamangreat Sanctum Structure Deck! When it is summoned using another Salamangreat Raging Phoenix as link material, you can add 1 Salamangreat card from your Deck to your hand! You can use this to instantly search any Salamangreat card or strengthen your defenses by searching Salamangreat Roar and Salamangreat Rage. If a face-up FIRE monster (s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect while this card is in the Graveyard, you can revive this card and even gain the ATK of one of those monsters permanently! This can lead to a potential OTK or help you dominate your opponent’s boss monster! Run 2-3 copies. Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix This link monster can wipe your opponent’s board or inflict massive damage. This card combos well with the new card Code of Soul to facilitate a reincarnation link summon, even on the opponent’s turn! Ratio: Run two copies. Salamangreat Miragestallio The generic rank 3 of Salamangreat. This rank three monster can special summon any Salamangreat monster from your Main Deck in defense position in just one XYZ material detach! Remember, you can no longer use non-FIRE monster effects for the rest of the turn when you use this effect, so be careful. You can also use this XYZ’s effect to target 1 monster on the field and return it to the hand when this XYZ is used as a link material for a Salamangreat Link monster. This effect helps you clear a potential threat or even bait a negate. Ratio: Run 1-2. 1 is optimal in most builds due to extra deck space.   Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames Another honorary Salamangreat link monster. This new link three monster from Phantom Nightmare makes link climbing to Salamangreat Raging Phoenix easy, as it can revive any FIRE monster in your Graveyard. It also acts as your additional interruption while in the Graveyard, so long as you have a valid FIRE target to destroy on your field. Run 1-2 copies. One is optimal in most builds. Spell and Traps Salamangreat Circle The key spell searcher of the theme. You can also use its effect to protect one Salamangreat link monster you control that was link summoned using a monster with the same name as material from monster effects that turn. Ratio: Run three copies.   Salamangreat Sanctuary This is your main field spell in Salamangreat and the best way to fulfill the reincarnation link summon. You can search for this card instantly using Salamangreat Balelyx, so you don’t have to run multiple copies. Ratio: Run one copy. Will of the Salamangreat This is another worth-mentioning spell card that can help further extend your plays as it can special summon a Salamangreat monster from your hand or GY or even more when you send this card, and you have a valid Salamangreat Link monster target that was summoned using its same name as material. Ratio: Run one copy.   Cynet Mining A generic spell that can search any level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from your deck to your hand at the cost of 1 card from your hand. Ratio: Run 1-3. Since you can only activate 1 Cynet Mining per turn, 1-2 copies may be optimal, so multiple copies won’t clog. Salamangreat Roar A powerful omni-negate counter trap card that you can use while controlling a Salamangreat link monster. It can also set itself back when you link summon a Salamangreat Link monster using the same name as the material. Ratio: Run 1-2 copies. Salamangreat Rage   Salamangreat Rage acts as another form of defense on top of Salamangreat Roar. Sometimes, you need something that can help you control your opponent’s field resources, and this card just does that, especially if you control a Salamangreat Link monster summoned using the same name as material. Today, I will review the newest support of the Yubel theme called Phantom of Yubel from The Valuable Book EX4. Yes, the fusion monster that is not only played in Yubel but also splashed in other decks. What made this card so popular in the OCG meta, and why should you also consider this fusion monster on your deck? Let’s dive in. Card Overview How useful is the new “Phantom of Yubel”? The Phantom of Yubel Engine How to use this engine? Summary Card Overview   VX04-JP002 Phantom of Yubel (UR) Card Type: Effect / Fusion Level: 9 Rarity: UR Attribute: Dark Types: Fiend ATK: 0 DEF: 0   1 "Yubel" monster + 1 Fiend monster with 0 ATK/DEF Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by shuffling the above cards from your hand, field, and/or GY into the Deck/Extra Deck. Cannot be used as Fusion Material. Cannot be destroyed by battle, also you take no battle damage from battles involving this card. When your opponent activates a monster effect (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; that effect becomes "Your opponent destroys 1 "Yubel" monster in their hand, Deck, or field". You can only use this effect of "Phantom of Yubel" once per turn.     How useful is the new Phantom of Yubel? On top of being a new support for the Yubel theme, this fusion card serves several purposes: It protects you from monster hand traps – Phantom of Yubel has an effect that could alter your opponent’s monster effect by allowing you to destroy 1 Yubel monster from your hand, deck, or field instead. Since the summoning of Phantom of Yubel doesn’t start a chain, you can catch your opponent by surprise if they are keeping a Maxx “C” in their hand that could have been used to control your plays that turn. If your combo is weak against monster hand traps such as Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring or Effect Veiler, to name a few, this fusion monster can serve as your answer.   Easy summoning method – To special summon this card instantly, all you need to do is shuffle the required cards, and those are 1 Yubel monster + 1 Fiend monster with 0 ATK/DEF from your hand, field, and/or GY back to your Deck or Extra Deck. When you use its effect to destroy a Yubel monster to counter a monster effect, you can destroy a Spirit of Yubel from your hand or deck, which can special summon a fresh new Yubel from your Hand, Deck, Graveyard, or Banishment. Afterward, you can shuffle the same Spirit of Yubel and Yubel you control to summon another copy of Phantom of Yubel, ready to counter your opponent’s plays the following turn! Take note, the special summon of this card isn’t once per turn, the only limit is the number of copies you own. :D   It helps unbrick your hand – As a Yubel player myself, there are moments I hard draw Yubel or Yubel – Terror Incarnate, and as we know, these cards are better if they stay in your Deck as they don’t propel your plays when drawn. Now, you can look at it differently, as by having Yubel in their names, they can now act as instant materials for Phantom of Yubel, albeit sacrificing hand advantage.   It cannot be destroyed by battle, and it protects you from getting battle damage – Phantom of Yubel is another Yubel-named monster; hence, it combos well with Nightmare Pain. This ensures that your opponent is required to attack only Yubel monsters during their battle phase and must attack if able, protecting your important non-Yubel monster from attacks.   It cannot be used as a fusion material – While that may sound like a drawback, it also has an advantage. By being unable to be used as a fusion material, it is immune to the opponent’s Super Polymerization.   It’s level 9 – Phantom of Yubel being level 9 opens the possibility of summoning Chaos Angel when combined with a level 1 Dark/Light monster such as Samsara D Lotus.     The Phantom of Yubel Engine When using it as a small engine for other decks, below are the cards you need: Two to three copies of Nightmare Throne (May also include Terraforming) One copy of Yubel One copy of Spirit of Yubel One to two copies of Phantom of Yubel   How to use this engine? Card Needed: Nightmare Throne Step 1: Activate Nightmare Throne and use its effect to destroy Spirit of Yubel from your Deck. Step 2: Use Spirit of Yubel’s effect to Special Summon Yubel from your Hand or Deck. Step 3: Shuffle your face up Yubel and Spirit of Yubel from your Graveyard to your Deck to Special Summon Phantom of Yubel from your Extra Deck. You could repeat this step if you successfully used the effect of Phantom of Yubel to change an opponent’s monster effect to destroy a Yubel monster instead. Remember, Spirit of Yubel’s effect to special summon Yubel isn’t limited to once per turn.   Summary Phantom of Yubel is a strong card that could pressure the opponent, whether altering a monster effect, being used as an extender, or just being a Yubel-named monster. Is “Voiceless Voice” the right deck for you?  | Archetype Starter Guide - Author by RespectYGO Phantom Nightmare has finally been released recently in Asian English, and today, I’ll be sharing a guide on how to play one of my favorite ritual decks, Voiceless Voice. To optimize your experience, I’ll discuss the theme in different sections ranging from card overviews, basic combos, sample deck lists, and helpful strategies that could help you familiarize yourself with this deck. Introduction Meet the Voiceless Voice Cards Additional Key Cards Sample Deck Builds Sample Combo Summary 1.Introduction Voiceless Voice is an all-LIGHT theme released in Phantom Nightmare, which is based on the classic Skull Guardian ritual monster way back in the year 2000. After over 20 years, it regained new strength in the form of the new Voiceless Voice cards, which helped the theme become a top-tier candidate. I’ve always enjoyed the control strategy, and the Voiceless Voice theme appeals to me. The combos you can create are quite straightforward, and you can end games quickly due to Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice, and overwhelming attack points. The deck also has its way of protecting its cards from being attacked or targeted by effects, making it tricky to deal with if you are facing it. Now that it is finally released in Asian English, I figured I would reintroduce the theme to everyone by adding all my key takeaways from when I used it in OCG. That said, let’s learn more about the theme’s key cards. Let’s go! 2.Meet the Voiceless Voice Cards   Lo, The Prayers of the Voiceless Voice The heart and soul of Voiceless Voice. It is equipped with three powerful effects. First, it acts as the entire ritual material when you attempt to ritual summon exactly 1 LIGHT Ritual Monster for as long as they are Warrior or Dragon-type. This effect works while it is on the field or even in hand! This is extremely helpful in facilitating your ritual summons with ease. Second, when it is Normal or Special Summoned, you can place 1 Voiceless Voice Continuous Spell/Trap from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. This effect helps you gain instant access to the theme’s searcher or interruption, which we will discuss later. Lastly, it can also Special Summon itself from the Graveyard once per turn whenever a LIGHT Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) is Special Summoned to your field. This means you can revive it right after you use it as the entire ritual material for a ritual summon. This works well when you pair it with Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice, to provide an ATK boost and a negation. Ratio: Play 3, no questions asked.   Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, is the humanoid form of the classic Saffira, Queen of Dragons. This card plays a significant role in Voiceless Voice with its two effects.   The first effect lets you send 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to the GY; then, you can add 1 LIGHT Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. This helps you search for it directly from your Deck or bring it back from your graveyard to your hand. Second, you can banish itself from your Graveyard so you can Ritual summon 1 LIGHT Warrior or Dragon Ritual monster from your hand by tributing monsters from your hand or field that meet the level required. Remember, you can use Lo, The Prayers of the Voiceless Voice as the entire ritual material. Sounds neat, right?   Ratio: Play 3   Sauravis, Dragon Sage of the Voiceless Voice Sauravis, Dragon Sage of the Voiceless Voice, is the humanoid form of Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended. This card brings extra push to the game when you need to deal more battle damage or even act as an alternative way to bring out your LIGHT Warrior or Dragon Ritual monster from your hand or Deck. This Voiceless Voice with a decent 2600 ATK and 2800 DEF has two interesting effects. First, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by shuffling two Spells from your hand and/or GY into the Deck, including a Ritual Spell. This can help you recycle your Ritual Spell and other important Spells for a free summon. Also, the Special Summon of this card doesn’t start a chain, so you can bring it to the field immediately as long as you shuffle the two spells necessary. Secondly, it has a quick effect that reacts when your opponent activates any card or effect. If they do, you can return this card from the field to the hand (as the cost) to Special Summon 1 LIGHT Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) from your hand or Deck, but shuffle it into the Deck during the End Phase of the next turn. This can help you bring out its original form, Sauravis, the Ancient and the Ascended, for that additional inherent Special Summon negate or even Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice!   Ratio: Run 1. Since it isn’t a starter, you wouldn’t want to draw multiple copies. I prefer it to be in my deck to Special Summon it with Radiance of the Voiceless Voice. 😊 Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice The boss monster of the Voiceless Voice archetype, as they call it. It gets huge when paired with Lo, The Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, and is the go-to Ritual monster to help you gain control of the game. It has three main effects: First, it gains 2050 ATK while you have Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice on your field or in your GY, which makes it an instant 4100 beat stick by itself, enough to trample even Obelisk the Tormentor’s 4000 ATK! Second, it searches for 1 Voiceless Voice monster or 1 Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) from your Deck to your hand when it is ritual summoned. This helps you gain card advantage and search your key monsters ranging from Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, or even Sauravis, Dragon Sage of the Voiceless Voice! The last effect makes it a force to be reckoned with. Once per turn (Quick Effect), while you control a Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, you can negate the activation of a card or effect your opponent activates and destroy it. It’s a free omni-negate that can help protect your board from your opponent’s cards and strategies that could stand in your way!   Ratio: Run 2-3.   Barrier of the Voiceless Voice The key searcher spell of Voiceless Voice. It has two powerful effects that help solidify your end board. First, while it is on your field, your opponent can only target LIGHT Ritual monsters for attacks, and your opponent cannot target LIGHT monsters you control with card effects for as long as you have Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, and a LIGHT Ritual monster. This card adds an extra “barrier” to protect your end board from threats. If they use anything that could break your board, simply use Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice, to negate that effect. Its second effect lets you add 1 Voiceless Voice card or a Skull Guardian Ritual monster from your deck to your hand during your main phase. When you begin the combo by summoning Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, you can use this spell to search Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, to send a Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand and add Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice. Afterward, you can use Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice to ritual summon the ritual monster you just searched! Remember, this effect works once per turn, and you can always use its effect again on your next turn to further your plays. Ratio: Run three copies.   Prayers of the Voiceless Voice The main ritual Spell of Voiceless Voice. It has two effects that ensure it can facilitate your ritual summon or bring out a new ritual monster if your existing one has fallen! First, it has a standard effect that allows you to ritual summon any LIGHT ritual monster from your hand. Remember, you can only tribute LIGHT monsters from your hand or field that meet the ritual monster level/requirement. Second, if a face-up LIGHT Ritual monster (s) you control leaves the field by your opponent’s card effect outside of damage step, you can banish this spell from your GY as a cost to Special Summon 1 Sauravis, the Ancient and the Ascended, Saffira, Queen of the Dragons, or Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice from your hand or deck, ignoring the summoning conditions! Since Barrier of the Voiceless Voice protects your Ritual monsters from being targeted when you have Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, your opponent may use cards that do not target to remove your ritual monsters or your entire monster board potentially. When you have this spell card in your GY, you can special summon one of the 3 Ritual monsters from your hand or deck (Like Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice), which will trigger Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice effect to Special Summon itself back from the GY. Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice will then trigger again in a new chain to place 1 Voiceless Voice continues Spell/Trap to your field face-up straight from your deck, as if nothing happened. Ratio: Run two copies.   Radiance of the Voiceless Voice This Voiceless Voice trap may have one effect with two options, but both can help propel your strategy when used correctly. Let’s discuss each of them: First, you can add to your hand or Special Summon 1 Voiceless Voice monster from your Deck by shuffling 1 LIGHT Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) or 1 Ritual Spell from your hand or GY into your deck. You can use it to recycle your used Ritual Monster or Spell from GY or return them from hand to your deck where they shine best when searching for a Voiceless Voice Second, you can target cards your opponent controls, up to the number of LIGHT Ritual Monsters (Warrior or Dragon) you control; destroy both this card and as many of the targeted cards as possible. This adds additional interruption to your omni-negate from Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice. If you control more Ritual monsters, you can destroy even more cards! Remember that this card only works in either player’s main phase. It is a great card you can search via Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, when you already have access to Barrier of the Voiceless Voice. Barrier of the Voiceless Voice can also search this card. Ratio: Run 1-2.   Legacy of Destruction Saffira, Divine Dragon of the Voiceless Voice The newest addition to the Voiceless Voice clan. Saffira gained new strength in its final form. It has three main effects: First, you can draw two cards and discard 1 card when it is Ritual Summoned, and you have Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, on your field or in your GY. This helps you gain additional card advantage to dig for hand traps or just additional cards that could strengthen your board. Its second effect lets you discard one random card from your opponent’s hand when an attack involving your LIGHT Dragon or Warrior ritual monster is declared. Lastly, you can add 1 LIGHT monster from your GY back to your end every opponent’s end phase. You can use this effect to recycle your Voiceless Voice monsters, LIGHT Ritual monsters, or even LIGHT hand traps such as Effect Veiler or Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit. Ratio: Run 0-1.   Blessing of the Voiceless Voice The newest Voiceless Voice spells in Legacy of Destruction is the spell card they need to regain your resources. It has two powerful effects that come in handy, especially in mid to late game: First, you can target 1 of your Voiceless Voice cards that is banished or in your GY and add it to your hand. This effect allows you to recycle your banished Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, a fallen Sauravis, Dragon Sage of the Voiceless Voice in your GY, or other necessary Voiceless Voice card of choice! Remember, it is a continuous Spell Card, so that you can search it with Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice. Second, if a Non-Ritual monster is Normal or Special Summoned, you can Ritual Summon 1 LIGHT Warrior or Dragon Ritual monster from your hand by tributing monster (s) from your hand or field that meets the requirements. This acts as your additional way to ritual summon on top of your Saffira and Ritual Spell. Best part? You can also trigger this effect when your opponent Normal or Special summons!   Ratio: Run 1-2. 1 copy is optimal in most builds.   INFINITE FORBIDDEN Guardian of the Voiceless Voice The third wave of Voiceless Voice arrives in the booster pack INFINITE FORBIDDEN. It has two effects: If a non-Ritual Monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can Special Summon 1 Skull Guardian from your hand or Deck. This effect allows you to bring out the original (OG) Skull Guardian to the rescue. The second effect lets you target 1 Ritual Monster you control and allow it to gain the total original ATK of all other monsters on the field by sending this trap card to your GY. Ratio: Run 0-1.   Additional key cards:   Sauravis, the Ancient and the Ascended – Your secondary Ritual monster that allows you to protect your monsters from targeting effects and acts as your second interruption by negating an inherent special summon. Add 1-2 copies. Pre-Preparation of Rites – This card searches a Ritual Spell and a Ritual Monster from your Deck or GY to your hand listed on the Ritual Spell you searched. Play 2-3 copies. Pot of Extravagance – Since the deck isn’t reliant on Extra Deck, you can maximize Pot of Extravagance to dig for your key cards or simply bait an Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Run 2 (in OCG) and 2-3 (in Asian English). Diviner of the Herald and Trias Hierarchia – Diviner of the Herald acts as your additional 1 card starter when combined with Trias Hierarchia or removal when you send Elder Entity Nt’ss. Run 3 Diviner of the Herald and 1 Trias Hierarchia (in OCG and TCG). Pot of Prosperity – Similar to Pot of Extravagance, this card allows you to fetch your starters or other cards that can support your combo. Odd-Eyes Pendulumgraph Dragon and Odd-Eyes Meteorburst Dragon – You can use these two Odd-Eyes Monsters as tech cards when you play Voiceless Voice. Odd-Eyes Pendulumgraph Dragon brings an extra Spell negate to the table, and when it negates, it can bring out an Odd-Eyes monster from your Extra Deck for free.     Sample Deck Builds Below are sample deck builds that you can use as a starting point. Remember to test your deck and adapt the ratios based on your liking. Asian English (Post PHNI-AE)   OCG Version (Post Legacy of Destruction)   Sample Combo: Here is a basic combo that you can do in Voiceless Voice. Card Required: 1 Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice Step 1: Normal Summon Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, and use its effect to place Barrier of the Voiceless Voice from your Deck face-up to your field. Step 2: Use Barrier of the Voiceless Voice to add Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, from your Deck to your hand. Step 3: Discard Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, to send Prayers of the Voiceless Voice from your Deck to the GY to add 1 Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice from your deck to your hand. Step 4: Banish Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, to Ritual Summon Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice, from your hand using your face-up Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice as the entire material cost. Step 5: Trigger both Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice effect when Ritual Summoned to add 1 Voiceless Voice monster or 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand and Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice effect to special summon itself back to your field from your GY. I prefer placing Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice effect as chain link 1 and put Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice effect as chain link 2 to avoid Ghost Belle and Haunted Mansion from negating it Lo. End Board: Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice (Omni-Negate) Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice Barrier of the Voiceless Voice (One per turn search, protection from battle and targeting) Prayers of the Voiceless Voice in your GY for insurance in case your field gets wiped. Additional search from Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice, for follow-up. Summary If you’re looking for a deck that can easily adapt in the meta, I recommend you play Voiceless Voice. The deck has a fair chance against different decks, and its versatility allows it to stand out.
